I have admired Converse for some time. A number of months ago I think that as a company it had gone off the boil. For a short time their eye for design wasn't what it was and IME, the standard of the manufacture went south. HAVING SAID THAT, now I think Converse have become the best even though they are not the cheapest trainers.
