Denomination of Annette Schwarz or: Venus and Porn in Germany

As most of you guys might have noticed the e-line committee took back its (their) nomination for the German Porn Award. Here (English Translation) you can find some information about the happening.
As we all know, most of these so called “awards” are rather a marketing strategy then a real event.
Most of these award-committees or awards are only brought into being because of the intention to origin publicity either for the companies within the committee itself, or to promote the “nominated” but also some committee related products.
That means, that the actual content or the stuff from which the product is made of (the what and how) are not in focus of the committee at all and in consequence on the other hand, the award is meritless because it follows different rules.
Germany in former days had no need for awards like this, because the DVD market was owned by 2 or three companies promoting mainly two or three actresses (like Sarah Young or Dolly Buster). These actresses owned (or at least theirs spouses did) the leading companies. Publicity was generated by the actresses joining several - or as many TV shows as possible, highlighting implicitly a sexual liberated world in which pornography was commonly accepted. Nor was, or is this the truth. Due to the fact that we live in an uptight world, all the interest in porn on TV was or is possible.
But why don´t we see more Gina Wilds on TV than, or why was it apparently inevitable to create a german porn award?
Well, I don´t think that people got tired of half naked girls shaking their breasts on TV. On TV now porn chicks are faster pigeonholed. So the porn scene itself didn´t become more uptight. They only got tired of the “cheap hustler/hooker” image.
And for selling reasons a product (DVD) with a cheap image (actress) doesn´t sell as good one created an award.
But what caused the image sensitiveness of the porn branch? - It didn´t become more uptight, did it.
One cause for this is, that the market got a lot bigger. In former days it was enough to show a booty-shaking girl on TV who said she was going to go wild on DVD (or actually on VHS/VCR). Meanwhile the DVD circulation exploded and it is not enough for producers or companies to show a porn-willing chick with few or less eloquent skills on TV, it is rather important for the “product” to appear in brilliant achievement (covering quality in production and quality in action) in distinction to all the others to all the “failures”.
So theoretically, the invention of an award draws a self-recurring distinction. It is legitimated by and through itself countervailing depreciation and evoking congenial acceptance and publicity. An award should be a proper or objective measure to honor achievements without making them look raffish.
But this will only succeed when all participants consider the terms for nomination as fair or transparent. - I think I don´t have to carry out further aspects. But the e-line committee didn´t do a too good job with this and I think they know it. So I guess, if you can´t refer to your own award, there is only one other thing to cause publicity: the scandal.
The problem with the e-line award is, that the whole undertaking is not really well done: Because everybody knows that the whole committee is affiliated with nominated companies the award is non-credible. It´s formally known, that most of the awards go to sponsors or nominated companies which purchase award tickets for several grants. From that point of view it seems very clear, why Annette Schwarz could never win an e-line award: she wouldn´t pay for her own award show ticket.
Well, unfortunately most of the branch is really giving a shit who becomes nominated or “denominated” by the e-line committee. Although when there is a little moaning after the nomination announcement every year. - The branch knows that the award is fake anyway and therefore it suffers no credibility and all others don´t care. - The e-line committee could have done a clever move to award Mrs. Schwarz, but instead the tried to provoke a scandal which no one noticed.
Well the orchestration of the award isn´t really a success. But maybe there are other reasons why a porn award can´t work?
Maybe the market has grown too fast, so an award has become worthless. Everybody has a different taste, especially concerning a delicate field like porn. There a many movies assuaging many fetish and everybody has his own criteria of how and what. Furthermore it is simply not possible to create a mass efficient award recurring on a matter-of-fact based neutral award, because porn is and always will be only porn.

That’s the reason why the Orgazmik Awards are worth more - we are not looking who is paying how much for whatever. The performance is what we are looking at. And Annette won already in 2006 our award as Best Female Performer:
