Does Legislation affect Porn Fetishes?

My thesis is, that current law really affect porn fetishes.
If you look to Japan, recently a man got caught, because he threw meal-worms at a public train to fear women – I think he might be a porn producer as you can see here.
As you know, in Japanese porn movies, it’s not allowed to show a pussy. Therefore the Japanese are world champions in coming up with new freaky porn fetishes.
Also in the US: You aren’t allowed to show so called “body waste”, like pissing. So, to compensate pee, everybody comes up with squirting – and it’s selling really good.
In countries having animal porn banned, people might push porn with stuffed animals. (this is okay, because sometimes donkeys perhaps don’t like to get fucked in their ass…)
As you see, the people love porn in every direction. If a state/country tries to stop certain sex behavior, always new porn fetishes rise up.
What do you think? Are there some more fetishes, because some “normal” porn behavior is forbidden?

well, of course it appears that way
you don´t let sdomething happen and some people will try to get that just for the charm of the forbidden
not only in porn of course. how many drugs you wouldn´t mind to try if they weren´t ilegal in the first place?
or what happened with alcohol in the USA in the Prohibition? Too many people were trying to get drunk.
so that this happen on porn is clearly an end result of legal restricitions (at least patially, of course. Fetish is osmething that happen to osme people with or without the prohibition.)

you’re right roberto, but I think the interesting thing is, that people try to find other fetished, if something is prohibited. So, they try to compensate, because they can’t take the straight way. I think some fetishes just came up, because something else is forbidden. Therefore the law itself, creates new fetish movements.

Too true. If you forbid an act, folks will figure out some “legal” form of expressing that act. The one fetish that’s quickly rising in popularity that I don’t quite get is “Balloon Popping.” Any thoughts on how that fetish got started, or what forbidden fetish that it’s replacing?

annette: you got a point. actually if you look the psychoanalitic freudian definition of fetish (if my memory serves well) is to put on an object your libido, thing that happens generally when you got some kind of repression on theway of developing your sexuality. To legally put a prohibition is a way to remember that (the primary source of the repression is, of course the upbringing , at least in psychoanalitical terms) so , of course, if you got a primal interst on that kind of fetish to get legaly forbidden can act actually as a trigger for you, the latent fetish guy/gal , to use it as a way to develop that fetish. And to help you define yourself as that kind of fetish lover and try to get people with the same fetish

That’s one interesting discussion going here. Me and my colleague in the office often discuss why it’s the japanese who have the weirdest fetishes of all porn producers in the world.
In my opinion the law is one reason for that. if something as harmless as showing a pussy is prohibited, porn producers will find another way to give their audience the “extra-kick” by showing pissing or vomiting action. I mean…a standard 1-on-1 scene without seeing any genitals? come on…
Another reason to me is that the higher the development of a nation, the more fetishes there will be. in my opinion, fetishes are an indication of intelligence and culture. japan seems to be a highly developed country and additionally they have a noteworthy porn-culture. think of bukkake/gokkun, everybody knows that.
But I guess, a discussion about the correlation between perversions and intelligence/education/culture/whatever-you-might-call-it would go beyond the scope of this comment-section. I refer mainly to Simon Thaur, who in his films always states that as an intellectual, it is just natural to check out all possiblities regarding sexual perversions. hmm sounds better in german, maybe I’m a bad translator ^^
