Venus 2009 Follow-up

I just updated my site with my impressions from this years Venus in Berlin. Actually it was quite uneventful – business as usual. Okay, there have been a lot of nice shows with cute chicks, but the porn toy industry is pushing the the porn away…

    Also ich habe die Venus von 2001 bis 2006 regelmäßig
    besucht.
    Ich muss sagen das sich diese immer mehr zu einer
    Jugendfreie Veranstaltung gemausert hat.
    Langweilig – noch langweiliger – Venus.
    Und dafür wollten die noch 25.- Euro Eintritt.
    Bis auf ein bisschen Ausziehen und Dildo Spiele ist da nicht mehr viel.
    Und Neuerscheinungen sind so gut wie nicht zu bekommen.
    Nur alter Schrott und das zum Teil sehr überteuert.
    Ein bisschen mehr Action würde der ganzen Sache gut tun.
    Aber das trauen die sich nicht.
    Als Audrey Hollander und Otto Bauer das gemacht haben wofür Sie bezahlt werden war der Aufschrei groß.
    Von Geldstrafe bis zum Hausverbot wurde im Wiederholungsfalle angedroht.
    Lächerlich
    Sie wollen das Pornogenre aus der Schmuddelecke holen sagen die Veranstalter.
    Aber muss das so langweilig sein?
    Ausserdem wird die Szene immer ein schlechtes Image haben.
    Zwar gucken das alle Leute aber trotzdem meinen Sie es verurteilen zu müssen.

    Ich steh dazu das ich Annette mag und habe kein Problem damit das auch zu vertreten.
    Das musste mal gesagt werden.

    i agree, it is as if the industry are not allowing the pornstars to be super sluts and just light shows to promote the movies.
    it was better in the old days when the pornstars were real porn sluts that were there to be really whores with the fans and to have fun themselves showing who could be the sluttier.

    Guys i agree Venus sucks in now Days and specialy for 25 Euro Entrance! But there is help my Site will never change!

    Of course the sex toy industry is pushing the porn away: you cannot download rabbit dildos for free from the Internet ;) .

    Small oasis like Annette’s team are here to stay and that’s good news, but the Golden Days of Porn are forever gone. The actual financial crisis just made things obvious. I feel we witness a great loss in human sexual development and probably a tragic miss for human cultural development. All I can do is to hope that such “promising ethological monsters” (K. Popper, 1973) will always appear and one day they will find a proper environment to thrive.

    And to be honest, the way the adult entertainment industry chose to follow in its last years of so-called glory makes me wonder why one Earth there is such an industry anyway?!

    And Vlad, I see you invoke the name of Karl Popper whom I’m quite familiar with. A former “Marxist” who became quite disillusioned with Marx’s theory of “historical materialism” and later went on to become what some have called a “social democrat.” Still considered to be a heretic by the hardened “Marxists” of the Leninist-Stalinist stripe.
