We have two different type of box cover for the movie Filthy Beauty #2. The one with cross in red doesn’t brings any impression or meanings. People only interested in the “CONTENT” and not the “COVER”. Same also to us as human being. We must take good care of what is inside our body and not outside our body because the parts which is inside our body is far more important than outside our body. OK Now, which one is my selection? I have some discussions and emails conversations about the two box cover of Filthy Beauty 2 with my friends and relatives. 90% of them says that the box cover picture on the left which people says as cross is much more nicer. Actually through our discussion we found out that its not a cross but it is “X” symbol which represent porn and sex. The image of the front cover which is the left side looks like without any kind of “taste” without the “X” symbol. The “X” symbol in red gives impressions to customers that the movie is full of hardcore scenes and also a little bit of rough scenes. Something like when we eat we must have some “spicy taste” to ensure that the food is delicious to eat. So this “spicy taste” is the “X” symbol on the box cover. Customer feels that the movie have some softcore scene without the “X” symbol on the cover. So you are telling that the movie have scenes which are filthy and hardcore but you have some classy image does not make sense. The “Red X Symbol” is important to give message to customers who intend to buy the DVD that the movie is having scenes which are hardcore and filthy. I’m not sure if your complaints about the DVD’s title are to be taken seriously… Are you just kidding, or are you really unaware that this is the second installment of a “best of” series featuring different actresses (the first was Bobbi Starr) with whom Jake has worked? It’s understandable that you’d prefer your name to be seen a lot more prominent on the cover, but obviously the idea is to establish the “filthy beauty” brand.
About the cover: I believe this large red “X” makes no sense, since it is in the background. What exactly is it crossing out – empty space? I also feel it makes the cover look more crowded, and if you skim over a few dozen different DVD covers close to each other (which will be a typical customer situation, I guess), it might even deter from the title, making it harder to read, and preventing the eye from grasping the basic elements of the cover. I know that when I look over a lot of covers, my eyes will usually come to rest on one with a clear comopsition and a catchy, easy to read title.
