Lady GAGA & Terry Richardson

Honestly I am not a fan at all from Lady GAGA. I do not find her attractive, nor do I like her music. In her case you can say “Sex sells” again. I know she does have a lot of fans but honestly I do not understand why. I can understand why she is pretty present in media. When you see her first steps as a musician playing the keys at home, you can tell that she is a pretty smart person – not only because of the image transformation – also because of her look. Maybe because of her eyes which she is constantly hiding away now, you can tell that knows exactly what she is doing. I don´t think that she is a talented musician – but anyway you don´t have to be that to be entertaining. But she obviously is born to entertain. When you watch her early shows, you see her walking around in mini skirts high heels and nylons, always masquerading. The songs are well produced pop songs I don´t care for. I am wishing she was pushing it a little further with Terry´s book. I mean she should give her fans what the demand for: her cunt! But sadly she is too conform (or maybe to corrupt) to take that step.
The book seems to be a collection of behind-the-scenes photographs during one year of the life of Lady GAGA.
I do not think that i will buy this book even though i love the Terry Richardson and his raw styled photos. I love the Polaroid look a like shoots which have a amateur touch. I like that he does not light out every wrinkle of the models skin, he is not shooting the pictures from some weird angles. He shoots really old style and does not follow any trend. His pictures are provocative and have some porn touch. Beside money and fame I don´t understand why Terry is shooting GAGA. You can really predict how the book is gonna be. Terry got tamed by GAGA. And GAGA maybe had to be in a book like Madonna (Sex), to become the new Madonna.
Will you buy it?

This Lady Gaga (and her staff) knows exactly how to manipulate the foolishness of her fans. In my opinion, there is a very sick side of this Gagamania (if I can say so). And she’s UGLY. Even more ugly than Madonna! “lady Gaga” and “sex” are two notions that must not have anything in common.

Well she is not really pretty but she is provocative and she doesn’t give a shit what others might think about her. And I believe thit is sexy in its own way. And she is not as hypocritical prudish as many other female singers in America and she’s okay with her sexuality.
Right, she does pop music. Popular music that sells. Love it or leave it. She is a clever entertainer and successful with her music, so what? Why should she not do the stuff her fans love her for and buy her records?

of course I won’t. Richardson way of shooting is like fake advertising softporn style. Richardson, Testino and Lachapelle are selling machines. They don’t innovate they just want to have success in the business, being ‘pop’ is not innovating the ‘art of photography’ it is just a way to have success easily. I do prefer real porn to this kind of photographs it’s more honest. Then little surprise he’s doing this book with Lady Gaga: good money for all.

Lady Gaga is fascinating and sexy, but I also don’t like her music. Madonna’s music was better – but after reading her book and later seeing her movie I liked her less.
Now, Annette… YOU need a book, perhaps illustrated with really great pictures. Turning your point on its head, perhaps the pictures shouldn’t have complete nudity. Right. I meant she doesn’t really care what all the other singers, entertainers and music business people think about her. There was no proof that her strategy would work, so it was kind of brave not to act exactly like all the female singers of her generation.
And she is not a cutie like Rihanna or Katy Perry. Her sexual charisma is different because she ist not very attractive compared to Beyonce and stuff.
Of course she is a money making license. Like all other performers in entertainment business (Do you think Annette doesn’t need to pay her bills? Well, she says she loves porn and fucking but still she has to sell to survive in the porn industry).
You have to be clever and calculating to be really successful in business life. But for me Gaga is more authentic than all the musicians I mentioned above.

I have not been here in a few months. Lady GaGa is the 21st Century version of Madonna. Madonna was never a classic beauty, but many found her sexy. She was not a great singer,but she put on a great show.
